Pinta Asunción Art Week returns to Asunción for its fourth edition. The event celebrates the richness and diversity of contemporary Latin American art. Since its launch in 2022, the initiative has focused on establishing cultural networks and engaging regional artists with international audiences. Furthermore, Pinta Asunción Art Week 2025 provide access to markets, training, and visibility for artists.
From 10 to 13 September 2025, Paraguay’s capital will host exhibitions, forums, and commissioned works in its most significant cultural hubs. Publics will discover installations, performances, and artistic meetings in a city that weaves together the heritage of the Guaraní with an innovative, transforming identity.
A commitment to cultural dialogue
Events will take place at Centro Cultural de España Juan de Salazar, Museo del Barro, Casa de la Integración CAF, and major galleries such as Artística, Viedma, and MATICES. All facilities offer a different vision, uniting tradition, innovation, and developing international art exchange. This commitment to cultural dialogue also connects with “Returning Home: A Sensitive Cartography of Paraguay,” a permanent exhibition recently inaugurated at the Cultural Centre of the Republic of Paraguay in Buenos Aires.
Curated by Adriana Almada alongside international curator Irene Gelfman, the event will include 23 Paraguayan, 17 Argentinian, and 7 Spanish artists, curators, collectors, and cultural leaders. Spaces such as Fábrica Galería, Expresiones, Fundación Migliorisi, and Confines del Paraguay join the platform, supporting Paraguay’s vibrant art scene and its integration with the wider Latin American community.
A tour of Asunción’s artistic pulse
Asunción beats with history and creativity, where colonial buildings and Guaraní heritage blend with street art. Throughout Pinta Asunción Art Week 2025, visitors are able to explore artist studios, autonomous centres, and galleries. Participants will also have the chance to observe the creative processes that are shaping Paraguay’s artistic future.
This interactive experience offers more than exhibitions: workshops, talks, and performances reveal the methods and histories behind the art. The city itself is integrated into the work, melding history, culture, and existing experimentation.
