The Port of Asunción will transform into a hub for art and culture this Friday, 24 October to Sunday, 26 October 2025, presenting a diverse array of contemporary art, design, crafts, and collaborative exhibitions. All activities, hosted at the Port Cultural Center, are open to the public with free admission, inviting visitors to engage with the rich creative landscape of the region at several Port of Asunción festivals.
Oxygen Art Fair 2025: A showcase of global talent
The Oxygen Art Fair 2025, a cornerstone of the national art scene, will feature works by 67 artists from both Paraguay and abroad. Scheduled for Friday 24 October from 18:00 to 23:00, and continuing on Saturday, 25th and Sunday, 26th October from 14:00 to 23:00, the fair promises a multifaceted experience. Visitors can expect thought-provoking talks, engaging presentations, screenings of contemporary films, and a variety of gastronomic offerings.
Highlights of the fair include contemporary art gatherings, the launch of the 2024 Impronta Award Book, supported by the Itaú Foundation, and the Alliance Française Contemporary Film Series. The announcement of the 2025 Impronta Award will also take centre stage, celebrating innovation in the arts. Each day will conclude with live musical performances by Bounce, Karen Rdz, Dominika, and Ever Dura, complemented by a foodie spot featuring culinary delights from restaurants Koggi, Nómade Bagels, Smuchi, and Lattente.
Embarcate Fair: Celebrating local creativity
Running on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October from 14:00 to 23:00, the Embarcate Fair at the Espacio Encomienda will spotlight local creators and designers. This marketplace will showcase original works by Geraldine Castro, Ada Frutos, Leila Samudio, Araceli Irala, Luis Araujo, Martín Zeballos, Juana Lartigue, Santiago Meaurio, Chiara Caligaris, Jessica Zorrilla, Jude Villanueva, Evelyn Barrios, Ana Cáceres, Itanu Bentancor, María Liza Garay, Miguel Aguigana, and Natalia Pollero. The fair offers a unique opportunity to explore and purchase distinctive, author-driven creations.
1 March 2025, the Port of Asunción also hosted Embarcate, a cultural event that brought together artistic, musical and gastronomic activities before.
Expo Anita Dice (Anita Says): A collective voice
On the ground floor of the Salón Puerto, the exhibition “Anita Dice” will feature the Robusta Collective, a group of women artists whose works foster a powerful dialogue on art, identity, and territory. Through their collective perspective, these artists present thought-provoking pieces that resonate with contemporary themes, inviting visitors to reflect on shared cultural narratives.
