The global sustainability of meat production (economic, social and environmental aspects) and the advantages and benefits of sustainability applied in Paraguay will be discussed on November 15 and 16, in the Auditorium of the San Carlos University headquarters in Asunción.
The event is organised by the Paraguayan Roundtable on Sustainable Meat (MPCS) and the San Carlos University (USC). Other topics discussed will be sustainability in action: Example of a livestock company in the Eastern Region; sustainability after the field; the value chain of sustainability; added value to sustainable production; sustainable livestock: Pastures, carbon capture and productive efficiency; the finances of sustainability.
The congress aims to promote a more productive and sustainable Paraguayan livestock industry by adopting innovative practices and responsible criteria in animal welfare, environmental impact and economic viability.

The Paraguayan Roundtable on Sustainable Meat (MPCS) is a multi-sector platform that brings together key players in the livestock sector, including producers, slaughterhouses, companies, social organisations and public entities. Its mission is to promote sustainable meat production in Paraguay by promoting practices that balance productive efficiency, animal welfare and environmental conservation. Through initiatives such as this congress, the MPCS seeks to generate spaces for dialogue and collaboration, promoting a livestock model that responds to the global challenges of sustainability and strengthens the positioning of Paraguayan meat in international markets.
