Friendship Medical Mission aims to benefit vulnerable people in Chaco

The “Friendship Medical Mission”, a joint initiative between the governments of Paraguay, the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the United States, will take place during the months of July and August in medical facilities in the city of Philadelphia, department of Boquerón, benefiting the most vulnerable populations of Chaco.

This mission reflects the trilateral health commitment of the governments of the United States of America, Taiwan and Paraguay, for the benefit of the population of the Paraguayan Chaco region, said the head of the Ministry of Public Health, María Teresa Barán, through her official account X.

The presentation of this initiative was made during the event that was attended by the head of Public Health and the national chancellor, Rubén Ramírez; by Ambassadors José Chih-Cheng Han from Taiwan and Marc Ostfield from the United States.

“I am excited to announce the start of AMISTAD ‘ 24, within the framework of our cooperation with Paraguay and Taiwan. It is an international medical collaboration, led by @AFSOUTH and @Southcom, which represents the United States’ commitment to our partners”, said Ambassador Ostfield.
