Parque Seminario in Asunción has been temporarily transformed into a glowing landscape as Aura Lumina – The Forest of Lights arrives in the capital. Under the motto “the moon has already come down”, the city will host its first international night-time exhibition of light art.
From 19 September to 12 October, the exhibition will offer an immersive experience where light, sound and nature come together to create a unique journey of discovery.
The event offers an ideal escape from routine, encouraging visitors to disconnect from screens and immerse themselves in an atmosphere that stimulates both creativity and imagination.
A journey through light and sound
The design of the trail ensures accessibility and enjoyment for children, adults and older visitors alike, making it a shared experience that caters to diverse interests and ages. Offering an opportunity to reconnect with the present and experience the city from a different perspective.
Visitors will find illuminated pathways, hammocks with glowing lights for moments of play and relaxation, and several interactive stations designed to encourage exploration and photography.
Spanning a 1.3-kilometre trail, the event invites visitors to step into a carefully designed world where each area offers a distinct atmosphere, both visually and musically. The highlight of the exhibition is a striking large-scale moon installation, detailed to appear lifelike, evoking the sensation of walking beneath a moon that has descended into the park.
Each section of the trail is accompanied by a distinct soundtrack, ensuring that no two moments of the walk are alike.
Whether it is a family outing, a first date or simply the chance to enjoy a new cultural event without leaving the city, Aura Lumina promises an evening that blends art, nature and entertainment in equal measure.
