The prestigious magazine El Toldo de Astier , edited by the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences of the National University of La Plata (Argentina), published in its most recent edition the article “Proper names adopted by the current Paraguayan population”, developed by the General Directorate of Linguistic Research of the Secretariat of Linguistic Policies (SPL) of Paraguay.
The article explores the adoption of Guaraní names among the Paraguayan population, offering translations and analysis of each name, as well as pointing out its cultural relevance. The study also presents a list of the most preferred Guaraní names in Paraguay, reflecting the vital role of the Guaraní language and culture in the national identity.
