With the aim of raising awareness of the real estate sector and promoting the development of large-scale projects in the region, the official opening of the 2024 International Real Estate Investment Expo took place today Thursday in Ciudad del Este, Alto Paraná department, with the presence of the Head of State, Santiago Peña.
The official opening ceremony of the benchmark event for the real estate sector in the region took place this morning at the Gran Nobile Hotel in the capital of the Alto Paraná department.
The aim of the Ciudad del Este Investment Expo is to raise awareness of the real estate sector and promote the development of large-scale projects in the region, mainly in the residential segment.
During the two days of the event, that is, this Thursday and Friday, attendees will be able to learn first-hand about a wide variety of projects, from those in the initial phase to the latest technological innovations applied to the sector.
On this occasion, the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, began his speech by stating that he shares the enthusiasm of the businessman from Alto Paraná, considering that the department has everything to be one of the main economic powers of the country.
Alto Paraná, one of the main drivers of Paraguay’s economic development
He stressed that the tenth department has been one of the main drivers of Paraguay’s economic development, but this is nothing compared to all that it can achieve, he said.
The president also stressed that the integration process between Paraguay and Brazil will accelerate in the coming years, hence the need to continue investing in physical integration to strengthen logistics and, therefore, the growth of the region.
“All of this will allow this service economy to develop,” he predicted.
Regarding the real estate sector, although he admitted that it is a relatively new sector, he acknowledged that it is booming, promoting the diversification of the economy.
He also spoke about the importance of investors having all the tools to establish businesses on Paraguayan soil.
“Paraguay has the greatest political stability among all Latin American countries and this is an achievement that we Paraguayans have achieved. But this macroeconomic and political stability and the abundance of electric energy requires the audacity of the businessman, of the entrepreneur who dares to dream,” he commented.
On the other hand, he addressed the private sector with the following message: “I come to challenge the businessmen of Alto Paraná to be even more ambitious and to project a Ciudad del Este that is the economic center of Mercosur, that all the potential that Paraguay has works as a magnet to attract more businessmen who will find the ideal place here.”
The Government has pledged to make every effort to ensure that Paraguay continues to consolidate its growth and development through joint efforts between the public and private sectors. “Let us dream big because we have a Paraguay that has absolutely everything,” he said.
