Teletón Launches 2025 Campaign For Nationwide Child Rehabilitation Support

The Teletón Paraguay foundation has officially inaugurated its 2025 campaign. Marking the beginning of the traditional solidarity marathon that will take place in Asunción on 7 and 8 November. The initiative aims to summon thousands of Paraguayans in support of child rehabilitation programmes.

Transforming lives across Paraguay

During the launch event, families who attend the Teletón Rehabilitation Centre (CRIT) shared their personal testimonies, emphasising the transformative impact of therapeutic support.

“Teletón does not only rehabilitate bodies, it also strengthens hearts,” expressed one of the mothers who benefited from the programme.

Victor Ibarrola, Executive Director of Teletón, highlighted that this year’s goals extend beyond fundraising. The organization seeks to broaden the reach of its rehabilitation services throughout the country, particularly in vulnerable regions.

“Our mission is for every child with a disability to have genuine access to opportunities for development,” he affirmed.

“Together everything is possible”

Teletón continues to expand its nationwide impact, reaching 1,930 families across every department of the country, providing high-quality and completely free care. “Although the services are free of charge for families, the Teletón Foundation invests Gs. 11 million (approximately US$1,560) per year for each family receiving support,” said Ibarrola.

This year, the campaign extends beyond national borders. On this occasion, Paraguayans from thirteen states in the United States, as well as from Australia, Ireland, and Spain, have joined forces to support the cause.

“It is profoundly moving to see Paraguayans who are so far from home yet remain so close to Paraguayan children and their needs.”

Presented under the motto “Together Everything is Possible” The 2025 campaign invites companies, institutions, and citizens to contribute through donations, volunteering, and public awareness initiatives. The solidarity marathon will be broadcast live on several national television networks. The campaign will feature artists, moving life stories, and moments intended to inspire and unite the nation.

Expectations for the Teletón 2025 campaign

The upcoming Teletón promises an inspiring programme filled with music, sports, and community participation. On Saturday, 8 November, the event will feature the Match of the Stars, a historic face-off between the Paraguayan squads of the 1998 France World Cup and the 2010 South Africa World Cup. Tickets will be available for Gs. 50,000 (approximately US$7,04) as a form of donation, and the event shall be broadcast on all national television channels.

In addition, the Teletón Run has already reached its registration limit, reflecting the public’s enthusiasm and demonstrating how sport can serve as a powerful measure of collaboration. “Our greatest hope is that the nation will once again come together for this noble cause, the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities.”

How to contribute

There are many ways to contribute to Teletón’s mission of inclusion and rehabilitation. Donations may be made via QR code, bank transfer, or by taking part in Teletón’s solidarity raffle. “Even those unable to make a financial contribution can still collaborate by volunteering or simply by watching the live broadcast.”

Beyond financial support, Teletón also fosters a culture of inclusion within the corporate sector. “We work with a network of companies that receive training from Teletón on inclusion, inclusive language, and accessibility.”

The Foundation encourages organisations to reach out and engage in its specialised programmes. “We remain available for companies to contact us so that we may conduct inclusion workshops with their teams.”

Through these diverse forms of participation, every contribution whether through generosity, time, or commitment helps to strengthen a movement that continues to transform lives across Paraguay.
