The Ministry of Women has Regional Women’s Centres (RCMs) in departments across the country, providing free psychological, legal, and social services. Services are available from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, and are open to family members and women experiencing violence or human trafficking.
They are located in the following reas:

- Filadelphia de Boquerón: Calle Carayá almost Carlos Casado
In addition to facilitating access to Ministry of Women’s services, the Regional Women’s Centres in the country’s departments aim to decentralise the services provided to women experiencing violence or human trafficking.
Specialised Legal Assistance includes legal counseling for women to protect their rights in situations of violence or human trafficking; Psychological Care provides support and guidance for women; and Social Care addresses the social and economic situations faced by women who suffer violence or are victims of human trafficking.
Regional Women’s Centres are essential for empowering women and providing them with the support they need to escape situations of violence, rebuild their lives, and break the cycle of abuse.
They also provide direct support to women and play an active role in raising awareness and educating the public about violence against women. They promote awareness of women’s rights and work to change social patterns that perpetuate violence.
The Ministry of Women said in a statement that it is “working to strengthen inter-institutional coordination and strategic alliances to prevent violence through Inter-Institutional Committees.”
