The Deputy Minister of Rediex, Javier Viveros, met with representatives of San Miguel Corporation, one of the largest and most influential food conglomerates in the Philippines, to establish trade connections between Paraguay and the Philippines.
During the meeting, the company representatives expressed great interest in importing Paraguayan products to the Philippines for processing and distribution across Asia.
It is worth noting that Paraguay, with its wealth of agricultural resources and high-quality raw materials, has enormous potential to supply the Asian market.
As leaders in food production and distribution across Asia, San Miguel’s expertise and reach represent a unique opportunity for collaboration with Paraguay. This alliance could open new trade routes, strengthen food security, and generate sustainable economic growth for both regions, according to Subeldía.
In a key meeting for economic development and investment attraction, Rediex representatives met with Niklas Rosén, a prominent Swiss investor in the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector, currently based in the Philippines.
With a successful business model and a strong presence in Asia, the investor showed great interest in expanding into South America, recognising Paraguay as a strategic destination due to its stability, human talent, and competitive advantages.
The BPO sector in Paraguay represents a unique opportunity for quality job creation and the strengthening of the digital ecosystem. This meeting marks an essential step in attracting investments that drive the country’s technological and economic development.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), these meetings concluded the official mission to the Philippines, successfully connecting opportunities with the country and advancing Paraguay’s promotion as an innovative business hub in the region, building the foundations for future mutually beneficial trade between Paraguay and the Philippines.
