The Kolping Foundation Paraguay is offering scholarships to young Paraguayans from low-income backgrounds who are interested in vocational training through modular courses. The scholarships cover short, five-month courses designed for rapid entry into the workforce. These courses include plumbing, electrical work, computing, and mechanics.
The scholarship is aimed at young people between the ages of 18 and 28 from Paraguay’s Central Department who can read and write. Employed individuals are eligible to apply as long as their salary does not exceed the legal minimum wage. The scholarship covers up to 100% of the cost of the technical and service courses offered by the institution.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be Paraguayan nationals, attend an in-person interview at the Kolping Foundation headquarters, complete the application form, demonstrate a motivation to learn a trade, and submit all required documents. Only complete applications will be considered. Priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate insufficient financial resources from themselves, their parents, or guardians to cover the costs of their studies.
The foundation’s Scholarship Department will assess each application on a case-by-case basis and may conduct home visits where deemed necessary.
