Asuncion Fashion Week (AFW), held at the iconic Cultural Centre of Asuncion Port (Puerto de Asunción), took place on the weekend of 10, 11, and 12 October 2025, celebrating high fashion in its 45th edition. During the occasion, the Puerto transformed into a magnificent runway where designers, models, and fashion lovers reunited.
People gathered to welcome the Spring/Summer 25/26 Season. The AFW is more than just showcasing clothes, it is a celebration of creativity and beauty. The Asuncion Times was there to witness this fashion spectacle.
Asunción Fashion Week meets the river edge
During the weekend, the Asuncion Port offered a unique space for creativity and style. The port became a place where Paraguay’s classic centre met the contemporary aesthetic of the featured designers. For three days, the beautiful side of the Paraguayan River welcomed fashion influencers, press, and industry professionals. Attendees gathered to witness the future of fashion and discover upcoming trends for the warmer seasons.
This edition prepared a blend of local and international talents, reflecting the AFW commitment to being a platform for both established and emerging artists. Some well-known Paraguayan brands include Isadora, Foundation Princess Diana, and Solar Guarani. Along with the outstanding designers from abroad, we can mention Karla Herrera from Colombia, Francisco Zitto from Argentina, Hijos de Ramón, and Shalé, both from Bolivia. The grand finale was presented on the open riverside, offering a breathtaking show, with the lights reflecting on the waves.
More than a runway
AFW 25/26 had way more to offer than fashion, it was a full experience. The guests enjoyed a “muelle gastronomico” (gastronomic pier) with a variety of culinary choices. A curated showroom with an array of brand activations, perfect for social media creators and press, and a selection of liquor brands showing their best products to all enthusiasts.
Following its tradition of nurturing new voices. Students from the Universidad Americana and the Instituto de Alta Costura had their designs featured, highlighting the next generation of Paraguayan fashion visionaries. Their presence reaffirmed AFW’s role as a platform for growth, collaboration, and education in the creative industries.

Asuncion Fashion Week Spring/Summer 25/26 once again proved that Asunción is shaping its own fashion scene. The Paraguayan capital is no longer just watching fashion from outside, it is creating it in real time. With a fusion of heritage and modernity, the event blends ñandutí and ao po’i with modern fabrics and trends. AFW continues to position itself as one of Latin America’s most exciting style events, creating opportunities for bigger, shinier, and even more fashionable editions awaiting in the future.
