The Olympic Aquatic Centre, located within the Paraguayan Olympic Park in the city of Luque, has opened new swimming and diving courses for the public. The Paraguayan Federation of Aquatic Sports (FEPADA) and the Paraguayan Olympic Committee (COP) announced the initiative. The modern complex sits in the Ñu Guasú area, near Asunción. The complex designers created the facilities for high-performance training and community use. Activities are open to children, young people, and adults.
Diving lessons create pathways for new talent
Diving courses offer a technical discipline focused on concentration and body control. Participants develop agility, coordination, and discipline through structured training sessions. The sport introduces beginners to an Olympic pathway with growth opportunities. Coaches provide professional guidance in a controlled and supportive setting. The programme seeks to identify and nurture future national talent.
Swimming classes will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 16:00 to 17:00 and from 17:00 to 18:00. The monthly fee is Gs. 250,000 (approximately US$38). Diving classes will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the same times. The monthly cost is Gs. 100,000 (approximately US$15).

A modern venue promoting health
The Olympic Park, inaugurated in 2017, houses the headquarters of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee. The site offers high-level sports infrastructure in a safe and accessible environment. Authorities aim to expand access to disciplines that encourage healthy lifestyles and physical activity. Experts recognise swimming as one of the most complete sports for overall fitness.
Classes also help participants develop confidence and healthy routines from an early age. The programme encourages regular exercise and community participation. Instructors guide students through progressive learning stages. Training is adapted to different ages and ability levels. The initiative supports long-term well-being and personal development.
