This Thursday, March 6, the Young Asunción City Symphony Orchestra (OSCA Joven) 2025 cycle called “The Art of the Batuta” will be presented, offering young conductors the opportunity to debut with a professional orchestra and on the stage of the Municipal Theater of Asunción.
The first concert of this series will be conducted by Diego Argüello, Bethania Urbieta, Alejandro Ruiz and Silvana Ferreira.
A total of eight young conductors graduated from different universities and conservatories will have the opportunity to conduct the Asunción Symphony Orchestra in this series of concerts. The first of them is this Thursday, March 6 at 8:00 p.m. at the Municipal Theater of Asunción.
The following will also participate as soloists at the OSCA Joven performance: Fabio Ortiz (flute), Clara Agüero (soprano), Marcos Lucena, Matías Rojas, Alexandra Britos (Paraguayan harp), Macarena González (soprano), Sebastián Pérez (tenor). Choir: Teresa Jiménez, Cynthia Lucena, Monica Lucena, Adelina Pando, Jacqueline Recalde, Antonella Valdés.
The OSCA Joven cycle is organised by the General Directorate of Culture and Tourism of the Municipality of Asunción and the Philharmonic Society of Asunción.
