More than 11,100 teachers will take the exam to join the Bank of Eligible Teachers

More than 11,100 teachers from the departments of Concepción, San Pedro, Amambay and Canindeyú are going to take the test for the creation of the Bank of Eligible Teachers, according to the Paraguayan Ministry of Education and Science (MEC). The exam will take place this Wednesday, 23rd October 2024.

This is the third operation of the Public Competition for Competitive Examinations – Level 1 for teachers of Basic Education of the first, second and third cycles, corresponding to secondary and initial education in public and private subsidised educational institutions in the departments of Concepción, San Pedro, Amambay and Canindeyú.

This call has a total of 11,152 education professionals authorised to participate in the evaluation process to join the Bank of Eligible Teachers, according to information provided by the MEC.

The preparation of the exams for the 8/2024 call carried out by the education portfolio, which has a total of 56,199 qualified educators, was worked on, agreed upon and approved in a process in which teachers’ unions, supervisors, directorates, departmental directorates and technicians of the central MEC participated.

According to the State portfolio, the aforementioned procedure was carried out with the cross-control of a notary public to avoid the leakage of documents, which were sent only on the day of the test to the respective regions.

The bank of eligible teachers to be created on this occasion will come into effect from January 2025 and will be valid for a period of three years.

Applicants must appear at the location assigned to them based on their identity card number, in the department in which they registered. The list of authorised locations is here.

The accreditation time will be from 1:30 p.m. and the start of the test is set at 3:00 p.m., with applicants having a period of 2:30 hours to complete the test and hand it in to the evaluator.

The exams will be extended until next Wednesday, November 6 of this year, corresponding to the fourth operation that will include a final group in Paraguarí, Cordillera, Guairá and Caaguazú.
