Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez Lezcano met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada, Mélanie Joly, to discuss the bilateral relationship, according to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs report.
Lezcano accompanied President Santiago Peña during his official visit to New York, where he participated in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly and met with authorities from other countries, businessmen, and think tank members.
Both agreed on the importance of deepening the dialogue between Paraguay and Canada and addressed the situation in the Americas, highlighting the role of Paraguay as a regional ally in the face of future challenges.
Joly emphasised the need for continued collaboration, while Ramírez Lezcano thanked the opening of the meat market in Canada and proposed exploring agreements in other areas, concludes the report of the National Chancellery.
