First 30 Electric Buses From Taiwan On The Way

The first 30 electric buses donated by the Government of the Republic of China (Taiwan) departed on Saturday, December 7, destined for Paraguay. They are expected to arrive by February 2025.

The public transportation units, manufactured by Taiwan’s Master Bus company, feature cutting-edge technology, clean energy systems, high energy efficiency, and a modern design focused on passenger comfort.

Taiwan’s Foreign Minister, Lin Chai Lung, the President of Master Bus, Wu Ting Fa, and Paraguay’s Ambassador to Taiwan, Carlos Fleitas, attended the shipment.

These buses will operate on various urban routes across different cities in Paraguay, promoting more accessible, efficient, and eco-friendly transportation for citizens.

The benefits of electric buses

Key benefits include reduced noise pollution due to their quiet operation and greater energy efficiency, which will also lower maintenance costs and long-term reliance on fossil fuels.

Through this initiative, the Paraguayan government reaffirms its commitment to sustainability and improving the well-being of its citizens.

According to the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), the arrival of these 30 electric buses marks a milestone on the path toward a cleaner and more efficient public transportation system.

This project highlights the strong cooperation between Paraguay and Taiwan, generating environmental and economic benefits for the country.
