The National Scholarship Program “Carlos Antonio López” (Becal) has today published the lists of preselected candidates for doctorates and post-doctorates of the self-managed calls corresponding to the second semester of 2024, whose study programs begin in the first semester of 2025, for PhD Studies Abroad.
The lists of those shortlisted for education in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), Doctorates for training professionals in the private sector; Doctorates for the training of advanced human capital in the public sector, and postdoctorates, are available in the applicants section, postgraduate studies abroad / self-managed on the relevant part of the Becal website.
Interviews with shortlisted applicants for PhD studies abroad will be conducted virtually on Wednesday, December 11. Candidates will receive an email on Monday, December 9 with further details regarding the interview schedule.
For the nineteenth self-managed call for applications for a doctorate in STI, 13 (thirteen) applicants were preselected; while for a doctorate for training professionals in the private sector, three applicants were preselected for PhD studies sbroad.
Call for public officials for PhD studies abroad
Meanwhile, for the eighth self-managed call for applications addressed to public sector officials who applied to do PhD studies abroad for the training of advanced human capital in the public sector, seven applicants who meet the conditions and general characteristics of the Program’s call were pre-selected; and for Postdoctoral studies, two applicants were pre-selected.
There were 10 places available for PhD studies abroad in STI; there were five places available for a PhD for training professionals in the private sector; there were four places available for PhDs for training advanced human capital in the public sector; and there were three places available for post-doctoral studies.
The list of those selected for the self-managed scholarship calls for PhD studies abroad will be published in the last week of this month, according to Becal.
