According to the Intelligence Directorate of REDIEX, from January to December last year, 55 different types of products of Paraguayan origin entered more than 40 countries across various continents for the first time, establishing new export/import trade destinations for Paraguayan products which have the potential to grow.

Beef, ethanol, electrical conductors, samu’u seedlings, peanuts, rice, cotton, soybean oil, organic fertilisers, steel billets, glycerin, aluminum scrap, and other national products entered the international market, generating revenues exceeding USD 28 million in 2024.

Paraguayan cotton imports were established in Portugal and Thailand, with sales of USD 298,324 and USD 295,170, respectively.

The United States, Mexico, Uruguay, and the Dominican Republic stood out as strategic partners in the Americas. Key exports included rice and soybean oil to the Caribbean, beef to Puerto Rico, and industrial and agricultural products to Brazil, Peru, and Argentina.

Cambodia and Vietnam strengthened trade ties in Asia by purchasing offal and copper scrap, while Singapore imported aluminum scrap. Meanwhile, Africa saw peanut shipments to Algeria and Libya.
