“The Force of Water” is the name of one of the last works by the talented Misiones artist Delfín “Koki” Ruíz Pérez, who passed away in the early hours of this Friday, December 20, and was mounted for the Energy Stand, a joint space between the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY) and Itaipú Binacional. It was during Expo 2024 and is currently on display at the Yacyreta Binational Entity Visitor Reception Center in Ayolas.

The EBY posthumous tribute, open to the public, is a recognition of the invaluable artistic legacy of Koki Ruíz, who from his beloved “Tañarandy”, the “Land of the Irreducibles” in San Ignacio, Misiones, made Paraguay known to the entire world.

With this extraordinary work, “The Force of Water,” the Yacyretá Binational Entity expresses feelings of pain and sorrow for the irreparable loss of the talented artist from Misiones.

His excellent works have won worldwide praise, elevating Paraguayan culture to the most prestigious and exalted places, says the Yacyretá Binational Entity, which also reports that the remains of the renowned Paraguayan artist, a symbol of creativity and commitment to culture, are being laid to rest at the El Molino Theater in San Ignacio.
