Teko Katu: Fair of agroecological products coming to Asunción in April and May

The alternative marketing network for rural farmer products, Teko Katu, has announced a series of fairs for agroecological products in Asunción during the months of April and May. These fairs aim to bring organic and environmentally friendly products to citizens, directly from the farms to the city.

Teko Katu is defined as an alternative marketing network that promotes the social and solidarity economy, seeking to contribute to improving the quality of life of farmers through a sustainable economy. The products offered at these fairs include a wide variety of vegetables, seasonal fruits, legumes, corn flour, nuts, grass, honey, eggs, cheese, sesame oil and a large selection of sweets and jams.

The fairs will be held on six different dates, alternating between the facilities of the Técnico Javier and Cristo Rey schools, both located in the city of Asunción. The calendar of the fairs is as follows: April 5, April 19 and May 3 at the Javier Technical School; April 26, May 17 and May 31 at Cristo Rey School. All fairs will be held from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

These direct marketing initiatives between producers and consumers not only benefit farmers, but also encourage the consumption of healthy foods and contribute to the preservation of the environment. By purchasing agroecological products, consumers support sustainable agricultural practices and reduce the carbon footprint associated with transporting food over long distances.

The Teko Katu network invites all those interested in a conscious and planet-friendly diet to visit these fairs and discover the quality and variety of Paraguayan agroecological products.

These initiatives represent an opportunity to strengthen ties between the countryside and the city, promoting a fairer and more equitable economy for all.

With these fairs, Teko Katu promotes a more sustainable production and consumption model, which values the work of small producers and encourages the preservation of natural resources.

Likewise, these initiatives contribute to the education and awareness of citizens about the importance of responsible and healthy consumption options.
