MIC – Asunción, Paraguay, April 29, 2025, – Following the success of its inaugural edition in 2024, which brought together more than 2,000 visitors and generated over USD 3 million in business, Expo Gastronomik returns in 2025 with a renewed focus: empowering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the sector and highlighting the richness of Paraguayan gastronomic culture.
The expo will include conferences, workshops, culinary demonstrations, contests, and networking opportunities, with brand stands and ample space that create an environment conducive to collaboration and business exchange.
The event will take place on May 27 and 28, from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Paseo La Galería Events Center, Tower 1, Floor i5. For more information, you can follow them on their Instagram page.
Focus On MSMEs, New For The 2025 Edition
“Gastronomik seeks to integrate all stakeholders in the gastronomic sector. Therefore, there will be dedicated spaces for entrepreneurs, medium-sized, and large companies in the gastronomic sector to showcase their products and services, promoting their integration into the sector’s value chain and targeting their growth,” stated Carlos Núñez, organiser of the expo.
The objective is to create an environment where suppliers can effectively present their products and services and where participants find new opportunities to improve and expand their operations. An environment conducive to interaction, collaboration, and the development of synergies between suppliers from different fields within the world of gastronomy.
Additionally, the space will showcase the latest trends in equipment, products, technology, and design.
Highlighting Paraguayan “Gastronomik” Culture
The organisers indicated that the country’s culinary richness will be highlighted, promoting traditional dishes that are part of the national identity. To this end, they highlight the creation of a Vorí Vorí Route with gastronomic venues chosen by the public, an action that is in line with Paraguay’s National Gastronomic Tourism Program and the efforts of the Paraguayan Academy of Gastronomy and the Paraguayan Restaurant Association to include traditional dishes on restaurant menus.
“Gastronomy is a very important aspect for the country’s development, the promotion of traditional dishes, and the full potential that each destination offers,” said Carlos Núñez.
Business Spaces, Trends, And Job Fair
Talks and Workshops: There will be conferences on gastronomic trends, sustainability, and technology applied to the sector. There will also be networking with business spaces to establish strategic alliances and explore new business opportunities.
Gastronomik is aimed at importers and distributors of kitchen equipment, furniture and decoration, supplies and utensils, technology and software, food and beverages, uniform and apparel franchises, services and consulting, and training centers.
There will also be a job fair at Gastronomik, which will offer job opportunities in the culinary sector, facilitating direct contact between employers and applicants. Tastings and culinary demonstrations will be offered: interactive spaces where chefs and cooks will present traditional recipes and innovative fusions. It follows the initiative of The National Service for Professional Promotion (SNPP), who offered gastronomy and hospitality courses across Paraguay.
