The Central Bank of Paraguay announced that starting this week it will carry out daily sales of at least 15 million US Dollars, with the aim of dealing with the recent volatility of the exchange rate.
“Given the recent volatility in the exchange rate, as a result of the greater uncertainty in the international arena and due to seasonal factors, the Central Bank of Paraguay will be present in the foreign exchange market with daily sales of USD 15 million, at least, starting next week,” said the statement issued by the central bank on Friday.
In recent weeks, the dollar exchange rate has been constantly rising, reaching 8,000 guaraníes per dollar on Thursday.
Currently, the price of each dollar is just over 8,000 guaraníes, according to the reference table of the Central Bank of Paraguay.
