The owners made their way to Paraguay to open a franchise and established the McCarthy’s we know today.
Guillermo Cuenca, the Brand Manager for McCarthy’s, explains that initially, when the pub opened five years ago, it positioned itself as a dedicated rock bar, catering heavily to music enthusiasts. Over time, however, it has evolved significantly, broadening its appeal.
“McCarthy’s started as a bar for people who really love rock,” Cuenca explains. “And then it evolved and became a nightclub. Today, McCarthy’s functions as both a bar and a nightclub.” This duality is key to its success, allowing it to attract a wide range of patrons throughout the week.
The spice, the lager, the icon
While the atmosphere might be electric, the true iconic attraction at McCarthy’s is found on the menu: fried chicken wings. These are not just ordinary wings; they are the pub’s signature item. The establishment food department is also celebrated for their variety of house-made sauces. McCarthy’s Irish Pub opening hours
- The bar opens from Tuesday to Saturday at 17:30.
