The men Paraguayan Padel National Team achieved yet another significant milestone at the Pan American Padel Championship in the Absolute Category. In the run-up to the Pan American Senior Championships, which will be held in Paraguay from 4-6 December 2025, the team secured a spot on the podium at the continental competition held in Chile. The impressive result sees the men’s side clinch the bronze medal, finishing in a commendable third place. The women’s team finished in seventh.
A strong campaign to the semi-finals
From the outset, the men’s Padel National Team demonstrated their high aspirations by defeating the host nation, Chile, with a resounding 3-0 victory. On the second day of competition, Paraguay suffered a setback against Argentina but swiftly bounced back with another win against a formidable opponent, the United States. By defeating the Americans, also by a convincing 3-0 scoreline, they secured their place in the crucial semi-finals. In the semi-final, Paraguay fell to Brazil, setting up the third-place play-off against Mexico, which they successfully won, thereby earning the bronze medal.
At the top of the podium stood the Argentine men’s padel team, who were crowned champions. They successfully repeated their 2023 victory. To achieve this, they had to defeat Brazil, who finished in second place. Argentina also claimed the title in the women’s division, thus achieving a continental “double,” again defeating Brazil in the women’s final.
The Paraguayan Padel National Team in the women’s division was not favoured by the draw. They had to face the powerful Argentine team, which eliminated them. Argentina, the eventual winner in both divisions, completed the competition without dropping a single match.
