Paraguay will be hosting the Brangus World Congress (ACBP) in May 2028, under the Motto “Our race, our country, to the centre of the livestock farming world.” The event is part of the National Expo of Fall, and places Paraguay as meat supplier of the highest quality. The history of Brangus World Congress
The first edition of this congress took place in Houston, United States, in 2001, and since then became an important mean for the exchange of knowledge and innovation. It projects the Brangus race on a global scale. Leaders of the productive sector, national authorities, and special guests attended the event’s official launch at the ACBP headquarters.

The congress will provide a complete programme, with technical visits to the livestock farming establishments. Competitions in different categories and networking are part of the event. Include in the programme are lectures with international specialists, where key topics for the race’s present and future will be approached.
Paraguay’s great conditions for livestock farming
The president of the ACBP, Jose Chagra, celebrated the choice of Paraguay as the host of this recognised gathering. He argued how the country’s rich livestock farming tradition and strategic location in the heart of South America, offers fertile fields, good weather, and a great passion for meat production. This places the country as the ideal stage for receiving the Brangus World Congress.
Chagra also mentioned how the event “will be a historic opportunity to show the world the development of our race, and the national farming sector”. Through concrete cases, they will show the innovation marking the difference in key areas such as genetics and reproduction, pasture management, animal health, and productive data management.
Apart from the technical and productive focus, the event aims for a strong economic, social, and cultural impact. The arrival of foreign delegations will provide global visibility, open new commercial opportunities, attract investments.
