Paraguay Cleared To Export Eggs To Singapore

Paraguay marks a new commercial milestone with the authorisation to export nationally produced eggs to Singapore. The country is strengthening trade relationships and boosting poultry and agricultural market. The approval was overseen by the National Service of Animal Quality and Health (SENACSA). The process concluded after a series of negotiations between the two countries.

Paraguay’s international credibility in animal health

Eggs Export

“The inclusion of our eggs in the Singaporean market reinforces Paraguay´s credibility in the matter of animal health,” stated José Martín Camperchioli, SENACSA´s president. “This is the result of constant hard work that allows us to reach such demanding markets as Singapore, the United States and Canada.”

President Camperchioli’s remarks underscore the role of sustained institutional effort in building long-term trust with international health authorities.

A 900-million-dollar agricultural and livestock industry

Singapore represents a US$ 900 million market for the Paraguayan agricultural and livestock industry. Eggs are not the only Paraguayan product cleared for entry into the Southeast Asian country. On May 23, Paraguay has been granted approval to export beef, pork and poultry meat to Singapore.

“Paraguay´s strong position in animal health is a key factor that allows access to these highly regulated destinations,” said Camperchioli, highlighting the country´s commitment to international recognised standards and its growing presence in the global market.

New horizons

Beyond Singapore, SENACSA is currently working towards expanding the export destinations of Paraguayan products in other markets. In the next few days, it is expected to finalise a new agreement with Chile, expanding Paraguay´s commercial horizons.

Next year, Paraguay will host The Americas regional conference of the world organisation of animal health. This global event will bring representatives from more than 100 countries. It will position Paraguay in the international spotlight and offers a unique opportunity to share and showcase the country´s advancements in animal health.
