Paraguay Reaches New Export Milestone With 16 Products Entering International Markets

For the first time, Paraguay exported 16 products that had no previous international presence, highlighting growth in both industrial and agro-industrial sectors. According to the Central Bank of Paraguay, these goods, all certified as Paraguayan origin, were exported between January and October 2025. The achievement reflects the country’s expanding export basket and growing capacity to meet global standards. At the same time, these exports also show the increasing competitiveness of Paraguayan businesses on the international stage.

Economic growth and diversification

The survey considered only companies, products, and destinations whose exports exceeded US$ 50,000 and had no prior export record or fell below that threshold between 2019 and 2024. This demonstrates Paraguay’s concrete expansion in international trade.

Experts say these results highlight the country’s productive and industrial diversification. Paraguayan companies are increasingly able to add value, comply with international standards, and reach new markets. This strengthens the national export profile and creates new opportunities for economic development, positioning Paraguay as a growing player in the global trade arena. Analysts also emphasise that diversifying exports can reduce economic dependence on a few key products and improve resilience against global market fluctuations.

New products gain global presence

The 16 products entering foreign markets for the first time include processed plant and mineral materials for carving and decoration. Other first-time exports include air and vacuum pumps, compressors, new rubber tyres, ice cream, phosphate fertilisers, and chocolate.

Additional notable exports include trailers, semi-trailers, and machines for food or beverage processing for the first time. Other new products reaching markets include copper wire, waterproof footwear made of rubber or plastic, toilet paper, and napkins. Aluminium constructions, parts, flat forms, rods, and vulcanised rubber profiles also entered foreign markets successfully. Turpentine essences, felt, and non-alloy iron products rolled in coils under 600 mm were exported for the first time.

These diverse goods demonstrate Paraguay’s ability to broaden its industrial portfolio and reach a variety of international markets. These exports also reflect the growing capacity of Paraguayan companies to meet global demand and standards.
