ADEC’s 2025 Congress: Driving Sustainable Innovation in Latin America

Paraguay will take center stage in the regional sustainability conversation with the 16th International Congress on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainability, hosted by the Christian Businessmen’s Association (ADEC). The event will take place on July 1 and 2 at the Paseo La Galería Events Center in Asunción, bringing together leading voices from Latin America and beyond.

Held under the theme “Building a Sustainable Future from the Core,” this year’s Congress emphasizes sustainability not just as a corporate responsibility, but as a catalyst for innovation and business growth. The event will explore three key pillars: corporate governance, social impact, and environmental responsibility.

Speakers at ADEC International Congress

ADEC has invited a distinguished lineup of international speakers, including Brent Loken, Global Food Scientist at WWF International (USA), Carlos Rozen, director of the International Certification in Ethics and Compliance (Argentina), Indianara Días of Ambev (Brazil), and sustainability specialist Ignacio Guarnieri (Uruguay).

One of this year’s highlights is the introduction of practical, hands-on workshops running parallel to the main sessions. Topics include ESG impact in value chains, family-care policies in business, and water footprint measurement based on ISO standards. These workshops aim to equip participants with actionable tools for sustainable business practices.

“Fostering real change”

“Our goal is to bring current global sustainability topics to Paraguay and adapt them to our local context,” says Soledad Blanco, ADEC’s Sustainability and Training Coordinator. “By combining international expertise with practical tools, we aim to foster real change in the business ecosystem.”

The congress is open to business leaders, public sector representatives, civil society, and academia. In addition to expert panels and workshops, the event will offer networking opportunities to promote collaboration across sectors. Registration is now open at the congress website.
