The KuñaTIC project will offer a free course aimed at girls, adolescents and women between 13 and 18 years of age with the aim of empowering them in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The program, which will start on Saturday, October 5 and will run until November 2, seeks to equip participants with the technological skills necessary to compete in the global market.
The course, which will take place in face-to-face mode at the Maker Lab in a Can of The CCPA School, will last a total of 20 hours, distributed in five classes from 08:00 to 12:00 hours. During the sessions, participants will learn from basic technology concepts to practical tools for job insertion and entrepreneurship. In addition, they will be given a digital certificate when completing all course requirements.
KuñaTIC’s approach is to promote digital literacy and build the trust and self-esteem of beneficiaries. The course is designed in three phases: women’s empowerment, digital citizenship, and job insertion and entrepreneurship. In the last phase, participants will learn to create their own business model and acquire tools to improve their economic conditions and quality of life.
Registrations are open, but quotas are limited. Interested parties must complete this form, and will receive confirmation by email or WhatsApp. To obtain the certificate, participants must complete all classes and corresponding surveys through the META platform.
This course is part of the efforts of the American Paraguayan Cultural Center (CCPA), in collaboration with the United States Embassy in Paraguay and Benjamin Franklin Science Corner, to promote creativity and practical learning in community sciences and technologies.
