The Third Edition of the Entrepreneurs Summit “Emprende Fest 2024” in Asunción concluded with the participation of entrepreneurs from 14 districts of the country. Food, textiles, crafts and beverages are just some of the sectors present at this event.
It was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, through the Vice Ministry of MSMEs, with the support of the European Union, as a strategic ally of this economic sector.
The Vice Ministry reported that some 100 entrepreneurs belonging to the Entrepreneur Support Centers (IncuCAE) of Hohenau, Encarnación, Central, Asunción, among other cities, showed their products at the event that was attended by the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña; the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Giménez; the Vice Minister of MSMEs, Gustavo Giménez and other national and private sector authorities.
Marcelo, owner of the business “El Chimi de Juancho”, said that this Emprende Fest was of utmost importance for this sector, because it helps connect micro-entrepreneurs with customers, while giving them the visibility necessary to reach more markets.
Yanina, owner of Christyani Innovación Artesanal, also indicated that this summit opened up opportunities for them to meet other entrepreneurs, exchange experiences with their peers and also network.
He said that “it gave us new business opportunities, that we are known, so we are grateful for this opportunity and Emprende Fest is not just a party, but it is about giving opportunities to entrepreneurs like us.”
