Prestigious Taiwanese Restaurant Chain Promotes Use Of Paraguayan Beef

Macarena Barboza, the commercial attaché of REDIEX in Taiwan, held a meeting this week with executives of the renowned gastronomic company Chuangxin, in an effort to expand the presence of Paraguayan products in international markets.

This group, headquartered in Taiwan and with operations in countries such as China, New York and Southeast Asia, stands out for its comprehensive quality model in the food chain, which covers everything from the selection of raw materials to processing and marketing.

During the meeting, there was also a tasting of dishes, in which Paraguayan meat was incorporated into the preparations. In this regard, the commercial attaché highlighted that they tried Paraguayan tripe stew, tendon stew and Hong Shao-style brisket stew. They were exquisite, given that Paraguayan meat was used as an ingredient, she stressed.

The company showed great interest in Paraguayan beef as an exclusive ingredient in its restaurant network, which is characterized by offering an international gastronomic experience with reduced waiting times and competitive prices.

According to Senacsa data, Paraguayan beef shipments to this Asian market totaled 26,796,454 tons, for a total of USD 127 million at the end of September. This is the second-largest destination market for Paraguayan red protein, with an 11% market share.

Likewise, pork exports totaled USD 20 million, some 6,572,582 tons to the Asian country, being the first destination for pork protein, covering 89% of the market.
