Paraguay’s National Professional Promotion Service (SNPP) has opened registrations for several free gastronomy courses beginning in March 2026. The programmes will be held in Asunción, Luque, and San Lorenzo, offering accessible professional training for those interested in the culinary sector. Each course will include 80 hours of instruction and will be delivered through in-person or hybrid formats. Places are limited, and registrations are available through the Identidad Alumno platform or directly at each training centre.
The new courses are part of SNPP’s broader effort to expand technical training opportunities across Paraguay. By offering specialised culinary programmes, the institution seeks to strengthen professional skills. SNPP also aims to support employment and entrepreneurship in Paraguay’s growing gastronomy industry. Earlier this year, SNPP also expanded its training programme with more than 70 in-person programmes nationwide, covering areas such as computing, languages, and robotics.
Culinary training opportunities in Luque and San Lorenzo
The free gastronomy courses will take place in Luque between 3 and 30 March. One option is the Artisanal Pasta Making course. The class will be held at the Caacupemí branch located in the Molino neighbourhood. Classes will run from Monday to Friday between 13:00 and 17:00, providing participants with hands-on training in traditional pasta preparation techniques.
During the same dates and schedule, SNPP will also offer a hybrid Food Handling course. This programme will focus on safe food preparation practices, hygiene standards, and proper handling procedures commonly required in professional kitchens.
Meanwhile, another programme will begin later in the month. The Healthy Pastry course will run from 23 March to 8 April at Capilla Cristo Rey, located on Digno García Street near San Judas Tadeo in Luque. Classes will take place from 17:30 to 21:00 and will explore alternative baking methods and ingredients used in healthier pastry preparation.
In San Lorenzo, two additional courses will be offered at La Casita del Sol on Destacamento Cazal Street. The Pastry course will run from 13:00 to 17:00, while the Artisanal Bakery and Confectionery course will take place from 08:00 to 12:00. Both programmes will run from 3 to 30 March and will focus on practical techniques for preparing baked goods and desserts.
Other courses available in Asunción
SNPP will also offer training opportunities in the capital. The Artisanal Pasta Making course in Asunción will begin on 23 March and continue until 27 April. Classes will be held from 17:30 to 21:00 at the training centre located on Eusebio Lillo Robles Street near Bélgica.
Additionally, the Savoury Snack Preparation course will run from 3 to 30 March. Sessions will take place from 13:00 to 17:00 at the Autonomous University of Asunción building on Jejuí Street.
SNPP reminded the public that places for all courses are limited. Interested participants can register through the Identidad Alumno website or visit the corresponding training centres to complete their enrolment. For further information, the institution can be contacted at 0981 200 015.
Through this new training offer, SNPP continues expanding technical education opportunities in Paraguay. The initiative also supports local workforce development by helping participants gain practical culinary skills and professional knowledge.
