The National Directorate of Civil Aeronautics (Dinac) today inaugurated the new Aviation Training Center, established with the cooperation of the government of the Republic of Korea. The new Training Center has flight simulators, air traffic control simulators, and other technologies that will allow for ongoing training for aeronautical and airport personnel.
“We believe that with all the innovations and equipment we will be the main reference center in the region,” said the president of Dinac, Nelson Mendoza.
The site is expected to host courses for higher education in air traffic, civil aviation pilots, and other aeronautical-related courses.
“This is a cutting-edge centre in the region, where we have everything required for aeronautical and airport training and it can become, why not, an educational hub for the region,” said the president in conversation with state media.
“We are very pleased to be able to reach the completion stage today and inaugurate the CEA thanks to the collaboration with the government of the Republic of Korea. This place will have a reference center and we will raise the standards of national aeronautics with all this,” he added.
He said that there are also two new aircraft, donated by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) project, and four aircraft for mechanics to train.
“It is a very complete center with a very significant investment where we believe there will be a before and after in national aeronautics,” Mendoza said.
He added that there is also the collaboration of the National University of Asunción with a related course, and the commitment of both Koica and the International Civil Aviation Organisation to continue with the training. “So this will become a reference center for the region in a short time,” he added.
